Pour Into Yourself

Lately, life has been feeling like one big juggling act.
Work. My book. The boys. One getting ready for prom, the other with activities every other minute (and listen… these Boy Scout activities are no joke). Some days I feel like I’m moving from one thing to the next just trying to keep everything flowing.
And the truth is… juggling isn’t always fun. It can feel overwhelming. But sometimes, it’s just necessary for the season you’re in.

What I do know though is this — everything can’t get 100% of me all the time. And if I keep trying to do that, I’m gonna run myself straight into burnout… and I’m not trying to meet her this week. Also, in my God Friends bible study I committed to not trying to wear so many hats so let’s see how that works out.
This week I’m planning to be more intentional because my schedule looks like April and May are trying to take me out. Pausing when I can. Taking a breath. Giving myself a moment that doesn’t belong to work, the kids, or responsibilities… just me.
Even if it’s small.
Balance where I can. Grace where I need it.
Because we can’t pour into everything else if we’re running on empty.
Make sure to pour into ourselves too.
