Spring Forward

Now listen… I’m not summer-body ready, and honestly I don’t care. But I am ready for summer. I’m ready for my electricity bill to go down, ready for spring break, ready for sunshine and longer days.

What I’m not ready for? Bees. Wasps. Bumblebees. And these prom and graduation expenses coming my way.

But time keeps moving whether we’re ready or not. Spring is springing and I’m just going with the flow. Back to work, readying my book, juggling life........still living my current chapter.

Some days will be easy, some days will stretch me—but God’s got us! All of us! And we’re going to be alright.

At least now I can stop arguing with Caleel about wearing a coat in the morning. I don't have to yell about lights being on at 5pm while Pepco spins the Wheel of Fortune wheel on how much they're charging me this month.

Technically it's still winter but we got light at the end of the tunnel. I'm ready to put away the boots and sweaters, as cute as they are, and pull out the tees and maxi dresses. You ready to spring forward?
